Currently we are looking for:
MySQL DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR
Primary Functions:
- To research, evaluate, plan design, allocate, implement, support and optimize all aspects of the online MySQL databases.
- Works with application development projects to evolve the database architecture and design.
Qualifications:
- 2 years minimum experience in 0designing, developing, tuning, optimizing, deploying, and updating MySQL instances in a high volume transactional environment with critical uptime requirements
- Must have configured and managed replication/standby instances of MySQL
- Must have configured and managed online backup technologies in MySQL and ensure disaster recovery and data retention protocols (backup, monitoring, security, installation)
- Must have an expert knowledge of all MySQL configuration parameters
- Excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning skills, ability to design scripts/automated tools using shell, PL/SQL
- Drives for continuous improvement; may include design, definition of roadmaps, standardization of processes and methodologies
- Experience other relational databases a plus -Experience with clustering is a plus
